A Community in Christ

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Zion Lutheran Church online. We are a community in Christ, and our mission is to share the gospel of God’s love and grace for everyone. We are called to live out that mission through hospitality, Christian friendship, sharing our faith, education, and service to our neighbors. We would love to have you and your family join us for worship. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We look forward to sharing with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

What Lutherans Believe

Zion Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

  •  Lutherans believe in the Triune God. God created and loves all of creation - the earth and the seas and all of the world’s inhabitants. We believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his new life, and we trust that God's Spirit is active in the world.

  • We are part of God’s unfolding plan. When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere. When we study the Bible or hear God’s word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God’s own saving story.

For information about worship services, please call the church office and leave a message: (201) 945-1873.

Lutheran marriage ceremonies are beautiful, and there are options for both traditional and modern services.

All couples who would like a wedding in a Christian space are invited to call the church office. You will be connected with a pastor who be happy to meet with you to discuss possibilities for a beautiful marriage celebration.

Why get involved with a church? Many people think of themselves as “spiritual but not religious.” They say, “I can commune with God on my own. Why do I need a church?” You may be one of those people, who are seekers but perhaps suspicious of the institutional church.
